Job Title: Sales Coordinator

Based in: Bristol. This is an in-office role, with the option of WHF for some of your hours.

Reports to: Project Manager

Hours: Part Time, 8-10 hours per week

Contract type: Part-time, fixed term for 12 months, potential to renew and increase in hours pending significant increase to the organisation’s traded income.


Salary: £12.50/hr

Lovewell is a Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to providing supportive employment and training for women wanting to exit the sex trade by employing them in the manufacture and sale of luxury, sustainable, natural skincare and wellbeing products.

Job Purpose:

Supporting a significant increase in income to the organisation by growing sales from existing sales channels, increasing Lovewell’s online presence and developing new sales channels. This will involve working with the Project Manager, Manufacturing and Training Coordinator and Programme Trainees who manufacture Lovewell’s products.


Key Job​ Responsibilities:

  • Significantly increasing revenue from product sales to targets set by the Project Manager
  • Outlining your approach to increase sales income and profitability that will meet targets agreed with the Project Manager. The plan should also include your approach to helping customers to understand “the value” they are buying into – the “story” of the organisation.
  • Developing income channels using existing social media platforms as well as developing new ones.
  • Identifying new online sales platforms in addition to existing platforms: Social Supermarket, Ebay for Change and Etsy, and securing Lovewell’s presence.
  • Working with retail outlets, including hotels and spas, to stock our products, negotiating the best rates with each retailer and being responsible for writing wholesale contracts.
  • Identifying and securing space at appropriate artisan markets and craft fayres in the Southwest.
  • Coordinating a team made up of volunteers, trainees and yourself to attend the events above particularly in the run up to Christmas.
  • Working with the Project Manager to promote new ventures, such as “Candle club”, using a subscription model to increase trading income.
  • Working with the Project Manager to sell “Gift Days/Staff Wellbeing” events to large corporate organisations in and around Bristol.
  • Working with trainees and the Manufacturing and Training Coordinator to fulfil customer orders from the website
  • Provide monthly reports to Project Manager demonstrating a clear analysis of sales and profitability of all retail outlets. 
  • Work with the Manufacturing and Training Coordinator to manage stock levels, ensuring all orders can be fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Working alongside the Project Manager to ensure all aspects of the organisation run in accordance with its aims and objectives.
  • Helping with administrative tasks and general office support, such as answering emails and phone calls.

Job Requirements and Abilities

Essential

  • General Education to GCSE standard with an A-C grade in English & Maths or equivalent standard 
  • Proven experience of selling and meeting sales targets.
  • Developing successful online sales platforms and social media 
  • Growing retail outlets for our products 
  • Knowing how to sell Lovewell’s story as a major USP to increase sales and engender interest and support in what we are aiming to achieve.
  • Ability to record and analyse sales data to track sales and profitability 
  • Good understanding of I.T. packages (including: Word, Excel, E-mail, Power Point, Internet, Googledocs, Google calendar)
  • Evidence of the understanding of the requirement for confidentiality 
  • Must consent to a DBS check (opportunity to disclose any criminal convictions in advance)
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to create positive relationships with customers and those outlets stocking our products
  • Digital skills that enable successful selling on multiple platforms.
  • Ability to analyse statistics relating to sales and profitability 
  • Able to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service
  • Able to work under own initiative, prioritise tasks to agreed timelines for themselves and others
  • Able to work in the UK

Desirable


  • Evidence of relevant sales /marketing training undertaken
  • Marketing experience
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to create positive relationships with customers and those outlets stocking our products
  • Digital skills that enable successful selling on multiple platforms.
