Live and Work Well Programme Referral Form
What is the Live and Work Well programme?

An 18–22-week training programme to support women to enter employment. Our programme is designed for women to grow in confidence and learn new skills to enable them to move into fulfilling employment. It has been created for women who have experienced some kind of trauma, for example domestic abuse, trafficking /exploitation or psychological distress and mental health challenges experienced by individuals forced to flee their home countries due to conflict, persecution, or other traumatic events.
The programme includes up to 20 sessions on life skills, employability training and self-care alongside learning to manufacture our range of luxury natural candles and wellbeing products. Sessions are practical, creative, nurturing and empowering and follow LoveWell’s values of Respect, Equity, Accountability, Trust and Teamwork.
Participants are also supported to take part in a short, voluntary work placement, and every trainee is matched with a mentor who will give 1:1 support to them for up to a year.

Who is the Live and Work Well programme for?
We support women from a range of backgrounds, who have experienced trauma from life experiences, which means they find it difficult to find or keep work.
Women who have taken part in previous projects have experienced insecure immigration status, domestic abuse, trafficking or exploitation or may have worked in sex work and no longer want to be.
Is this the right time in their life to take part in the programme?
The Live and Work Well programme requires commitment from the women we work with. Ideally, they should be able to come every week. We understand that women will need a certain amount of stability and support in other areas of her life to be able to do this. If you are considering this programme, do you have the right support in place for you to commit one day a week for up to 6 months?
We acknowledge that women may have experienced barriers to work or severe trauma without having experienced the above. We will consider all referrals on a case-by-case basis. However, no matter the background or experience, what we are looking for is a woman who wants to find employment, or education/training to move into employment in the future, someone who is committed to learning and being motivated to make changes in her life.

If you are unsure whether a woman is currently in the right to make the most of the Live and Work Well programme, please do not hesitate to contact us to talk through the referral.

At LoveWell, our Live and Work Well Employability programmes are at the core of what we do. Every purchase you make funds these transformative initiatives, empowering women with the skills to secure and retain jobs in the mainstream economy.
Over six months, participants attend Life Skills sessions, learning essentials like budgeting and life admin, as well as mental health skills, including self-care, stress and anxiety management, and communication skills. The Employability training sessions are where they undertake work-ready training, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing LoveWell products and enhancing their numeracy and literacy skills. The final step is a voluntary work placement where they apply their newly acquired skills in real-world settings.
By choosing LoveWell, you are supporting these vital programmes, helping women gain the confidence and abilities they need for long-term employment and a positive future.
